 Bhco Raiding Rules

Basic Rules for Raiding with Us

We are currently running Karazhan each week on Wednesday & Friday evenings from 20:30 server time, and attempting Gruul's Lair on Monday evenings from 20:30 server time. In the absence of enough players to run GL we will either finish Karazhan (if any bosses are left) and/or run Zul'Aman. Occasionally we may run fun events on Sundays such as Onyxia, world dragons, MC etc. These tend to be more relaxed, a bit of a laugh, can net you a fair amount of cash, and allows those that were not previously fortunate enough the opportunity to see the old lvl 60 content.
Anyone eligible is encouraged to join us providing you abide by our few simple rules...

    Teamspeak
Only those that install and use our teamspeak channel will be permitted to join us. This is mandatory, we will not waste our or other members' time describing tactics both on TS and in raid chat, it is also impossible to react quickly if typing instructions and will also immobilise one of our players.
You are expected to listen on TS only, we do not require you to speak and would rather you didn't if not a key player in the raid group. Log on, introduce yourself, then mute your mic unless you have a valid contribution to make and the time is appropriate.

    Be Prepared
We must start the raids at 20:30 server time, this does not mean start making your way to the instance then, it means we are going in the instance at that time. Please be online by 20:15 for invites, and summons will be offered up to 20:25, after which we will be in the instance and you will have to make your own way or don't come. I suggest you either leave your character by the instance when logging out before the raid, or ensure you log in with plenty of time to spare.
We also expect you to have everything you need before starting, this includes for instance, Pet Food, Arrows/Bullets, Potions, Bandages, 100% durability, spare armour, Food, Drink, Spell Reagents....beer, chocolate, clean pants, toothbrush etc.

    Respect the Raid Leader
The raid leader is a pivotal person during the raid responsible for ensuring boss tactics are explained, symbols are assigned, people are in the right place doing the right thing at the right time, given specific jobs where required, and any mid fight instructions are issued. All these help to make the raid fun and enjoyable, so LISTEN to the raid leader and please OBEY their instructions.

    Minimise Chat
There is nothing worse than everyone chat spamming with unecessary noise whilst in a large raid group, please do not do this - it will not be tolerated. You should only chat in raids if you are asked a question, requested to contribute, congratulating someone, or need to clarify/confirm an instruction, however please wait for an appropriate time to do so. If you have something constructive to add to a boss fight strategy then please whisper the raid leader (again wait for a suitable time). All other chat should be left at the door of the instance and resumed when we have finished.

    Master Looter
The master looter is also a key player in the raid. They will announce the loot rules and any restrictions/conditions at the beginning of the raid. If you are not happy with any of the rules then feel free to leave the group - these are our rules, you are expected to abide by them if raiding with us.
Please ensure you respond to loot instructions in a timely fashion. When loot drops there will be an announcement in raid chat, eg.."Roll need for [Hairy Testicle of the Monkey]". If you do not need then type "/raid pass" to speed up the looting process, else "/roll". Each loot roll will be on a strict timer (20seconds), if you miss out then sorry but you should have been paying more attention.
For further information on our loot processes and DKP as applied to Outlands raids please read... The DKP System.

Be Aware of Your Position and Aggro State
We ask you kindly to be aware of your character level versus the mobs, and where you stand in the raid. Do not stand at the front of the group if you are a lower level than everyone else, you will draw aggro and potentially cause a wipe. Anyone messing around in this manner and repeatedly causing wipes will be ejected from the raid and receive an official & final warning if a Bhco member (non members will be reported to their guild's GM). This is unacceptable behaviour which hinders the raid progress, causes high & unecessary repair bills, and annoys the other members of the raid. Anyone who is not the guild MT/OT should not be at the front of the group or drawing the aggro at any time. Additionally, you must have our version of Omen installed and monitor your threat level so as not to exceed that of the tank(s). Most boss fights (with only a few exceptions) are not a dps race, it is not a competition to see who can do the most damage in the shortest time possible - control your DPS.

These basics are in place to ensure our raid is efficient, successful, and enjoyable for all, so please bear these in mind when joining us, thankyou.
