What is Bh-Co?...
The Bloodhound Company Bh-Co., is an online gaming clan officially started on the 1st of March 2003.
Who are we?...
The “=[Bh_Co.]=” was originally designed for adults dedicated to a life of virtual war, virtual reality,
and virtually no social life (just kidding - honest). Its member’s are made up of people from all around the U.K
and from all walks of life.
Why the clan?...
The primary reason for creating our own clan was because we wanted the tactical and social benefits that being in a
clan can offer, and, obviously, we all love gaming! Through the use of teamspeak, and with a little north/south divide
banter (aah, pigeons and ferrets everywhere! lol) We've created a friendly, jovial atmosphere that not only makes this
clan effective, but also unique in its fun and relaxed approach to online gaming.
We had considered joining other clans, but in gaming terms we are old age pensioners and would prefer to “game”
with our own kind, we were certain that there were a lot more of us “O.A.P gamer’s” out there, so the search began.
Oh and did I mention we love gaming? perhaps our motto should be "live to game, game to live"? (shh, don't tell the wife)
The story so far...
The Bloodhound Company was founded by three very good friends Mr G, Smokey, and Bandit. It's design was simple, but has
been and still is difficult to achieve: To create a “successful league level clan” where your skill as a player must be
good, but your attitude has to be better. Sounds easy doesn’t it? But believe me it’s not. Other people have tried to
replicate what we have as a clan and ALL of them have failed, not just failed as a clan, but don’t even exist anymore.
What they've failed to realise is, it’s all to do with who you are, who the people you're trying to recruit are, and what you
want your clan to be.
So what’s our secret? Anti-fructose shampoo?...no wait that’s not right...Cyramide-R?...no that’s not right either, frankly
there are so many factors you need to make a clan work the way Bh-Co does, the most important of which is friendship.
Originally the Bloodhound Company =[Bh_Co.]= were a small Medal of Honour Allied Assault clan, where we enjoyed working
our way up through the various leagues & tables, and making a name for ourselves as a fair and honest clan.
The natural progression for the clan was moving onto Medal of Honour’s expansion pack, Medal of Honour Spearhead. It was in
MOHSH that the Bloodhound Company really began to flourish and become what it’s creators designed it be and more. Bh-Co grew in
it's membership, reputation & success, and went on to thrive as a dominating force within the MOHSH gaming community. The Bloodhound’s
popularity rose quickly, and soon we were inundated with membership applications, many of which were not suitable because of a minimum age limit.
The clan had a large national & international “regular player base”, so due to the amount of interest we produced
a regular news letter, named after our logo & mascot Trigger, the I.T.N {International Trigger News}, which contains some
clan current affairs, member profiles, and points of view on life, gaming & the world, that kind of thing.
So things were going well for the Bh-Co, however, we then encountered a period of unrest as opinions differed and people
started to want different things for and from the clan. Unfortunately this led to a few arguments, firings & retirements and,
as you can imagine, created a negative atmosphere within the clan, which is a dangerous thing when your whole clan's reason
for its existence is to enjoy the gaming experience.
The founding member’s response was to increase awareness of its member’s grievances, increase awareness of the admin duties
involved in running the clan, server, and website, and to improve the benefits available to our loyal subscribers. It was clear
that a totally new managerial approach was required to ensure the Bloodhound Company’s members would once again enjoy the
friendly, and jovial atmosphere in the clan. The outcome of the changes to follow was, in its time, revolutionary.
The Bh-Co had created one of the most unique “members subscription benefits packages” available, providing member’s with a
“server admin package” which gave them exclusive control over the server, combined with a guaranteed slot with direct access
on a limited capacity server, first refusal on any and all clan matches, and personal map choices to run on the server. This
package is still available and enjoyed by the subscribing member’s today.
All was gravy for a while (or "chips and gravy" to the northerners), with the Bh-Co spirit having been revitalised although, having played MOHSH now for two years, it was
generally felt by the clan’s members that it no longer held the enjoyment nor surprises for us as it once did. So we took a brave step and
decided to move on to pastures new, and explore the gaming world of Joint Operations. Unfortunately this turned out to be only a fleeting visit
as the game was gradually ruined by hackers, a far too common trend these days - why do people have to cheat? I just don't understand the point.
The clan began to experiment with other games, some breaking off into COD2 whilst the majority took up the challenge of World of Warcraft.
This brings us to the present day. Many of us have levelled up several characters across different servers, and we now have two guilds, 1 Alliance on Khadgar & 1 Horde on Kilrogg.
These days we are concentrating our efforts on our "Evil Side" on the Kilrogg EU server, building up our forces in preparation for the end game content. BhCo is panning out to be a large and powerful guild
as you can see from the roster page. We are all committed to helping each other in a bid to improve the strength of the guild as a whole, whilst having a laugh along the way, after
all, despite popular beliefs, it is still only a game (yes the real world does exist!). Why not check out the rest of our site, and if you feel you have something to offer
our guild, please come and join us on Kilrogg (The Bloodhound Company).
